Tour Overview

9 Days Tanzania Wildlife Excursions:

Our 9 Days Wildlife & Cultural Excursions offer the ideal African experience across Tanzania’s most well-known Northern sites, blending safari adventures with cultural heritages. It is a breathtaking experience to see animals in Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park in addition to learning about Hadzabe local and traditional ways of life near Lake Eyasi.

Visitors will view their basic bush houses and participate in cultural activities during the excursion. They mostly hunt small antelopes and baboons to survive fully off the bush. Rainy seasons bring down gazelles and antelopes from Ngorongoro or Serengeti, providing them with healthier selections.

Day to day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

You will be met by a Bhutto Tours and Safaris guide at Kilimanjaro International Airport for greetings and other formalities. You will then be driven to a reputed lodging in Arusha city for dinner and overnight. While traveling to Arusha, sometimes known as "The City of Tourists," you will have plenty to see and learn about before your safari trip departs in a few hours.

Day2: Arusha to Lake Eyasi

Your ultimate safari itinerary begins with a delicious breakfast and a drive to Lake Eyasi. Before arriving at a lodge for a hot lunch, you will pass through the gorgeous Maasai plains and towns, so prepare your eyes to take in Tanzania's natural beauty.

Enjoy your meals after arriving at a lodge and take some time to unwind before tomorrow, when you will participate in a cultural adventure that includes hunting with the Hadzabe tribe in the early morning.

Day 3: Lake Eyasi Cultural Activities

Today is the day if you've been seeking adventure! Leave early in the morning to go hunting with the hadzabe in the bush; this is the greatest way to experience their culture. The hadzabe is the last true hunter-gatherer; they practically maintain their way of life from the Stone Age.

They will teach you how to use bows and arrows, which they use to hunt animals. You will get the opportunity to hunt, track wildlife, prepare the fire, and even harvest honey from beehives with the Hadzabe people.

In addition to hunting, the Hadzabe also engage in other activities in the bush, such as gathering fruits, roots, and honey for their daily meals. You will stop for lunch in the bush after a few hours of adventure before moving on to additional explorations. Due to their extensive knowledge, when an animal is discovered, hunting can begin right away. They typically hunt antelope, gazelles, and birds, among other species.

You will visit their neighboring tribe, the Datoga, for another cultural encounter after an amazing adventure in the bush. The pastoralist Datoga typically gathers scrap metal and turns it into bracelets, arrowheads, and knives. You'll observe how women traditionally prepare cornmeal for baking and participate in local dances. You will drive to a lodge in Karatu for dinner and stay after all the excursions.

Day 4: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After a leisurely breakfast, depart for the wildlife reserve of Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is one of the most beautiful areas on earth with a wide range of species. Enjoy the most breathtaking view and see a variety of animals while traveling over the stunning, endless plains. The magnificence of this well-known location, including its flora and animals, will be willingly shared with you by your Bhutto Tours and Safaris experienced guide.

Because there are so many animals in the park, you might anticipate dramatic predatory encounters. When you arrive and before starting the game drive, you can have your lunch in one of the most beautiful designated picnic spots in the Serengeti.

Prepare yourself once again for your afternoon game drive in the Seronera area after lunch so you can look for animals including lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, cheetahs, and antelope. Enjoy the beauty of this natural wonder and capture some special images. The guide will drive to a lodge for dinner and the night after the game drive.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Your safari itinerary will be more valuable if you stay the night at the Serengeti National Park. Your night will be so wonderful thanks to the alluring sounds made by wild creatures and birds. You start the day with a morning game drive in the Serengeti's Seronera region in the Central region after breakfast. Your Bhutto Tours and Safaris expert  guide will provide fascinating stories about the wildlife as you explore the breathtaking panorama of the endless plains.

In the center of the Serengeti, the Seronera River supplies water to a wide variety of animal species. Along with snakes and hyraxes, lions prefer to remain and hide in kopjes. An exciting moment will be having lunch on the vast grasslands of the Serengeti.

After lunch, take a quick break before exploring the Seronera area in search of animals. During the game drives, you may come across Lions, leopards, elephants, Zebra, cheetahs, and Antelope. Your guide will drive you back to a lodge for dinner and the night following the game drive.

Day 6: Serengeti to Olduvai Gorge

A hearty breakfast is accompanied by early-morning wildlife drives through the Seronera area. After that, you'll drive to Olduvai Gorge in the Ngorongoro Conservation area for a cultural exploration tour. You may learn a thorough history that goes back to the beginning of time in Olduvai Gorge.

Before moving on to the cultural excursion concerning anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey who found the skulls of "Nutcracker Man" and "Handy Man," which are very crucial in the chain of human evolution, will take a mid-afternoon lunch break.

Your guide will drive you to a lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after all of the activities.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

It would be a brilliant option to visit the Big Five's home today. You will descend almost 600 meters into the crater after an early breakfast, for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro crater supports the presence of several animal species, including lions, zebras, elephants, and giraffes to name a few, as well as bird life, thanks to a year-round water supply and source of food. You will also go to Lake Magadi, which is one of the primary attractions of the crater and shallow alkaline lake.

Flamingos, hippos, and other water birds are frequently seen in great numbers. You can have lunch and take a brief break at the crater's pleasant picnic area before continuing the afternoon game drive. After the wildlife drive in the evening, your guide will drive you to a lodge in Karatu where you will spend the night and have dinner.

Day 8: Mto wa Mbu cultural Excursions

Another great day is today! Enjoy your breakfast before setting out for Mto wa Mbu village. Your local guide will meet you when you arrive and take you on a walking tour of the town. Because your guide is likely to be familiar with many excursions in the community, you will have the unique opportunity to experience the entire village through his eyes.

In addition to learning about the local culture, visiting a rice plantation will provide you with an understanding of how the crop is grown and processed. At a restaurant in Mto wa Mbu, lunch will be served. Your driver will drive you to a lodge for dinner and overnight after all the activities.

Day 9: Departure

Congratulations on such an incredible combination of experiences! Today is the final day to bid the team farewells. Enjoy a delicious breakfast before setting out for Arusha town.

When you arrive in Arusha town, enjoy the hot lunch and the lovely scenery of Arusha before taking a little break. You will be escorted to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your travel back home, depending on your departure flight.
