Through 6 Days Tanzania Wildebeest Calving Season You will be picked up from your accommodation and driven to Tarangire National Park following a hearty breakfast and a briefing. You must admire the gorgeous beauty along the route as you travel to the park, which will take you around two hours. Due to its varied habitat and various vegetation zones, the national park is both incredibly well-known and distinctive. An amazing sight is the ancient and enormous Baobab trees, which dwarf even giraffes in size. When you enter the park, the game drive will start.
The game drive stops for a quick picnic lunch break and lasts until late in the afternoon. The Tarangire River, from which this lovely park gets its name, is the park's main feature. It protects the lives of thousands and hundreds of animals, especially during the dry season.
The park is likely to have wildlife like giraffes, lions, antelopes, and zebras. If you're lucky, you might be able to witness the long-necked Gerek and the python that climbs trees. With the most elephants, Tarangire National Park offers a unique chance to see relationships between elephant groups.
Don't forget to use your camera to capture the stunning landscape during the game drive. Your guide will drive you back to a lodge where you will stay the night and enjoy a fantastic dinner after the wildlife drive.
Day 3: Southern Serengeti [Ndutu area]
After a leisurely breakfast, you will get in your car and travel to your next location, the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area's Ndutu area. Depending on whether the migration is in the Ndutu region or the southern Serengeti, you will be following it. The calving grounds are perfectly situated, tucked between Lake Masek and Ndutu Lake. Large herds of wildebeest and six different species of cats, including leopards, lions, cheetahs, caracals, servals, and wildcats, are drawn to these lakes.
During the proper season, which lasts from January to March, you may go on game drives and observe how the fertile plains change into calving grounds and nurseries for the great migration. Numerous predators are out looking for vulnerable juvenile wildebeests during this time of year. Witnessing the life cycle develop is an unforgettable experience that you will never forget.
A well-earned lunch break will be taken in the park while taking in the beautiful views of the Ndutu region after several hours of game drives. Continue your game drive through Ndutu's breathtaking ecosystems after that till sunset. Your guide will drive you to a lodge where you will spend the night once you have had your fill of the day's excursions.
Day 4: Serengeti Southern Plains
As you travel to the renowned southern grasslands of the Serengeti, it will be an amazing day. You'll leave towards the southern plains after a delicious meal, traveling over the endless plain’s grasslands. In the protection of massive granite boulders that tower over the grass, one of Africa's highest game densities can be discovered. The grass will be alive with new growth at this time of year. A picnic lunch in the park will be a welcome relaxation after a strenuous day of game viewing.
The term "Serengeti" describes a huge area of grassland that ultimately blends into the sky in the distance. Aside from seeing the "Big 5", one of the most beautiful animals in Africa to see would be the grazers. The southern plains of the Serengeti are home to the majority of Africa's remaining plains animals. In them, a wide variety of vegetation and fauna can take sanctuary. You will return to your lodge in Ndutu for dinner and the night following your thrilling game drive.
Day 5: Ngorongoro crater
It would be a great idea to visit the Big Fives’ home today. After an early breakfast, you will descend more than 600 meters for a crater tour. Thanks to a year-round water supply and food sources, the Ngorongoro crater supports the survival of several animal species, including elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. The Ngorongoro crater is the biggest unfilled, undamaged, and inactive volcanic caldera on the entire planet.
You will notice a lot of animal activity while on the gaming drive on the crater bottom. It is advised to keep the camera ready for amazing pictures. You will ascend to the top exit of the crater after your picnic lunch at the magnificent Hippo pool. Your guide will take you to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay after all of your experiences.
